Welcome

Our Garden wouldn't exist without the generous support and donations of local community businesses and organizations, and the tireless participation of our Garden members.

Spring Garden Meeting Report

Annual Spring Clean up Work Party

Annual Spring Clean up Work Party

  • The Garden meeting was well attended and the food is always great.
  • We elected our slate for the Garden Council: John Cook-Treasurer, Laura Szawarenski and Luanna Helfman-general, Liz Lauter- Garden Coordinator. Deb Scott and James Sanders did not renew their terms. Thanks to them for their dedication.
  • Annual water bill dues are a sliding scale from $140-$200 which are due in June, 2022. You can pay on our pay portal on our website, or send a check to John Cook.
  • We will keep useful reference info in the Shed: garden member contact info, snake identification pictures.
  • Please remember to lock the front gates if you open them. Also check that no one is still in the garden before locking.
  • All water spigots should be stabilized so they don't move. David Carlos can fix it for you for a fee, or ask him what to do.
  • Peanut butter is a good bait for rodents, but birds like it too, so hide traps so birds can't see them. Or partly cover from above.
  • We decided to schedule a Garden Work Day this coming Sunday, from 10-2.
  • We need a dump run to get rid of debris from behind the Shed, as well as old broken wheel barrows.
  • All garbage you make must be taken out by you. There is no garbage service. Do not put your garbage into any containers near the compost piles.
  • Do you need a Garden Plot Sitter while away? LynnEl Powell is available to take care of your plot for you. Her contact is lynnelp42@gmail.com

Annual Spring Clean up Work Party

Sunday, May 22 from 10am-2pm

It's short notice, but please come for some of the time if you can. We can get a lot of work done in a fun communal atmosphere. It's also a great chance to meet other gardeners and exchange gardening ideas.

Some of what needs doing:

Weeding (both hand and whacking everywhere), especially between the garden beds and pathways

trash pick up and hauling

wood chip spreading in the paths and walkways and around trees

thank you all!!!
